Together with 12 other leading audio companies radio.net will initiate an independent German award for the medium podcast. A crowd jury consisting of experts selects the best formats and podcasters in 6 categories. Additionally, the audience award chooses the most popular podcast of the year.

The radio.net Music Service for SONOS makes the vast selection of international radio stations directly available on SONOS speakers.
The radio.net FOOTBALL PEN
An award-winning idea enabled a new dimension of listening. radio.net presented the FOOTBALL PEN, a new device category that football fans could keep track of all World Cup matches via internet radio – even during working hours. The FOOTBALL PEN was awarded with the Cannes Bronze Lion and three Clio Awards.

Smart Apps for Smart TVs
The radio.net apps for the Smart TV platforms AppleTV and Amazon FireTV transform television to web radio receivers. Both apps are optimized for the platforms and offer fast access to the wide range of stations.
2016
New streaming possibilities with Chromecast
On the way to the smarthome era, radio.net now supports Google Chromecast sticks, giving users the opportunity to easily stream the content from their smartphones to external devices. Webradios can now be played on conventional stereo systems or TVs that are not web-enabled.
2015
The radio.net family keeps growing
In 2015, our international umbrella brand radio.net is launched. Along with the launch of radio.pl (Poland), radio.it (Italy), radio.dk (Denmark) and radio.se (Sweden) the radio.net family now consists of 10 brands.
Out with the old, in with the new!
With the big relaunch the website and apps appear in a brand new design and with new features. Radio.net kicks off the new year with a sleeker and modern design.2014

Radio.net strides forward not only geographically, but also technically: the platforms radio.es (Spain) and radio.pt (Portugal) go live and BlackBerry and Windows Phone users can now enjoy the apps for their operation systems.

2008
International rollout
By starting radio.fr for France and radio.at for Austria radio.net is embarking on its international rollout. radio.fr would eventually become the second most successful tenant of the family.
2007
The radio.net launch
The radio.net network is founded in 2007 as radio.de GmbH. Initially the radio.de website goes live with 1000 stations. Through the website in the browser users can now listen to their favorite stations or discover new stations from all over the world. Thanks to a growing audience the number of stations grows to over 4000 in only 3 years.
