As Senior Android Developer you are playing an important role in our Scrum team for mobile apps. The team develops the native apps for Android and iOS. You are the main responsible person for the requirements analysis, conception and implementation of the radio.net Android app. You are working closely with our product owner and our QA manager, but also with the backend team in order to create the best radio experience on Android.

You are taking over responsibilities and help shape the architecture of a international growing platform.

Responsibilities

• Translating business requirements into technical solutions
• Implementing new features, maintaining and constantly improving the code base
• Advising the product management concerning the user interface guidelines and Android best practices in general
• Performing requirements analysis, estimating, coding and debugging and testing
• Maintaining the Continuous Integration system together with our QA
• Developing specific software tests in radio streaming and podcast environment
• Supporting the QA in drafting automated unit and UI tests
• Realization of new Android products such as Fire TV, Android Auto, AndroidTV
• Bringing your own ideas to the team
• Monitoring and analyzing oft he live apps with tools like New Relic or Fabric

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related technical field
• Three or more years of software design and software development experience as Android developer including experience in every stage of the software engineering
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms and Android Design Patterns
• Deep understanding of the Android system architecture, its components and widgets
• Experience in developing and maintaining at least one successful app from the Play Store
• Ability to read, analyze and debug codes
• Familiarity with Automation Tools of Android apps through Unit and UI tests
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Familiarity with Reactive Programming
• Reactive Programming ist dir vertraut
• EExperience with ReactiveCocoa and AndroidRX would be an advantage
• You have already successfully integrated 3rd party SDKs such as Google Ads SDK, Google IMA SDK, Google Analytics, Flurry, Fabric, NewRelic, Facebook, Twitter or Soundcloud
• Experience with Tag Manager is a plus
• Ability to face unexpected problems and challenges during the development process and to make pragmatic decisions
• The ability and willingness to learn emerging technologies
• Very good German and English skills
