The radio.net network is currently situated in Hamburg, and was founded in 2007 as radio.de GmbH. Every day, our international team works on providing users with easy and comfortable access to radio stations and podcasts near them or to programmes of their choice. Radio.net is currently on the way to having a firm place on smartphones and wearable devices with one vision: the best radio and podcast experience.

Together with 12 other leading audio companies radio.net will initiate an independent German award for the medium podcast. A crowd jury consisting of experts selects the best formats and podcasters in 6 categories. Additionally, the audience award chooses the most popular podcast of the year.
Finally, GetPodcast makes Podcasts easy
radio.net introduces a podcatcher with the new service GetPodcast, which makes the endless range of exciting podcasts clear and easy to use for everyone.

The radio.net Music Service for SONOS makes the vast selection of international radio stations directly available on SONOS speakers.
The radio.net FOOTBALL PEN
An award-winning idea enabled a new dimension of listening. radio.net presented the FOOTBALL PEN, a new device category that football fans could keep track of all World Cup matches via internet radio – even during working hours. The FOOTBALL PEN was awarded with the Cannes Bronze Lion and three Clio Awards.
Alexa, ouvre radio.fr!
radio.net understands French, and as a launch partner of Amazon Alexa we are available in the kitchens and living rooms of the Grande Nation directly through voice over.
The first decade - radio.net gets 10!
Ten years ago, the German website radio.de went live with about 1000 stations. Meanwhile more than 30.000 stations and podcasts are available on all relevant platforms all over the world.

radio.net is a partner for web radio in the new Audi A8 in many Audi connect markets worldwide. Simple usability and worldwide station selection ensure great variety in car radio.

With the radio.de Skill for Amazon Alexa, radio.net brings the whole world of radio to your Smart Home. The free skill makes the whole range of radio.net’s database available via voice control.
Smart Apps for Smart TVs
The radio.net apps for the Smart TV platforms AppleTV and Amazon FireTV transform television to web radio receivers. Both apps are optimized for the platforms and offer fast access to the wide range of stations.

New streaming possibilities with Chromecast
On the way to the smarthome era, radio.net now supports Google Chromecast sticks, giving users the opportunity to easily stream the content from their smartphones to external devices. Webradios can now be played on conventional stereo systems or TVs that are not web-enabled.

The radio.net family keeps growing
In 2015, our international umbrella brand radio.net is launched. Along with the launch of radio.pl (Poland), radio.it (Italy), radio.dk (Denmark) and radio.se (Sweden) the radio.net family now consists of 10 brands.
Out with the old, in with the new!
With the big relaunch the website and apps appear in a brand new design and with new features. Radio.net kicks off the new year with a sleeker and modern design.

As official sponsor, radio.net supports its team member and toboggan legend Georg Hackl live on TV. In the end, the radio.net team earns an excellent second place.

BlackBerry and Windows Phone
Radio.net strides forward not only geographically, but also technically: the platforms radio.es (Spain) and radio.pt (Portugal) go live and BlackBerry and Windows Phone users can now enjoy the apps for their operation systems.

Ad-free with PRIME
For little money users can now download the radio.net PRIME app and listen to their favorite stations ad-free.

International rollout
By starting radio.fr for France and radio.at for Austria radio.net is embarking on its international rollout. radio.fr would eventually become the second most successful tenant of the family.
